Goodwill Opens New Pittsburg Store
Goodwill Industries of the Greater East Bay is excited to announce the recent Grand Opening of their new retail store in Pittsburg, California. A ribbon-cutting ceremony took place on Thursday, November 16th at 9:00 a.m. at 396 Atlantic Avenue in Pittsburg. Goodwill’s Board Chairperson, Mike Betts, and John B. Latchford, President and CEO, dedicated the new store with Contra Costa Supervisor Federal Glover, City of Pittsburg Councilmember and incoming Mayor Ben Johnson, representatives from the local Chamber of Commerce, and a number of community members.
“We were honored by the support local policymakers and community leaders demonstrated in the opening of our new store,” said John B. Latchford, President and CEO of Goodwill Industries of the Greater East Bay. ”The support of our community leaders assists Goodwill in reaching out to more of those in need and helps spread the word that every time someone donates or shops at one of our stores, they support their own community by providing job training and placement to individuals and families in need,” he added.
Grand-opening events, including raffles and prizes, are taking place for four days, from Thursday, November 16th through Sunday, November 19th. The store is open from 9:00 am until 8:00 pm on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, November 16th—18th, and from 11:00 am until 6:00 pm on Sunday, November 19th.
