Goodwill Industries of the Greater East Bay and Calidad Industries, Goodwill’s affiliate nonprofit, are hosting their Annual Mission Celebration & Fundraising Gala this Saturday, May 8th, at 6:00 pm at the Lake Merritt Hotel in Oakland, California.  There are still a few tickets left, so please call us at (510) 698-7233 if you would like to attend. 

The Gala will be honoring Judge Gail Brewster Bereola, from Alameda County Superior Court, for her leadership in juvenile justice and disability awareness.  The event MC will be Frank Somerville from KTVU Channel 2, and our keynote address will be delivered by David Hadani, former chairperson for Goodwill Industries International.  The Gala will also feature new recipients of our James Sweeny Power of Work Award, which honors successful program participants for overcoming extraordinary obstacles in their lives.  Gala attendees will also enjoy dinner, a cocktail hour, and silent and live auctions.  For more information, please see our Gala invitation.
